Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 2026

This policy applies to web browsing, download links, and technical documentation provided at clash-dl.com. It explains what information may be involved in operating the site and how it is used. Installed clients, subscription services, and external websites are operated by their respective providers and are outside the scope of this policy.

1. Information We Collect

This site serves content through static pages. It does not offer account registration, ask for your email address, or collect subscription URLs, proxy configurations, or client logs through its web pages. You can read guides and choose a download platform without submitting personal information.

When your browser requests a page, resource, or installer, the hosting service may generate necessary access logs, including your IP address, request time, resource path, response status, and browser-provided device information. These logs are used to deliver requests, troubleshoot errors, and address unusual traffic. They are not records of a client’s proxy connections.

This site does not read nodes, connection history, or local configuration files stored in your client. Do not include sensitive information, such as subscription credentials, in query parameters on links to this site.

2. Website Analytics and How We Use Them

We use website analytics to understand page views, traffic sources, device types, and download platform selections. This helps us make documentation easier to find, identify platforms that need clearer instructions, and spot broken links.

When you actively switch download platforms, the page may record an analytics event for your selection. This does not mean the installer finished downloading or that the client was installed or launched. Analytics data cannot be used to infer an individual visitor’s proxy usage.

How long access logs and analytics data are kept depends on the hosting service and analytics configuration in use. We do not claim a single retention period without confirmation. These data should be used only for site operations, content improvements, and necessary security measures.

3. Cookies and Local Storage

This site does not set login cookies. Depending on the analytics configuration in use, analytics may use cookies or similar identifiers to distinguish visits and avoid duplicate counts. Check your browser’s site data to see whether anything is stored and how long it remains.

Download platform selections are preserved in URL fragments, and language switching uses page paths. These features do not need to store subscription details or identity information locally. Your browser may cache page resources to speed up future visits.

Use your browser settings to view, restrict, or clear this site’s cookies, cache, and local storage. You can also use content-blocking settings to limit analytics scripts. Blocking analytics usually does not affect reading the page, but disabling all scripts may affect the navigation menu, tabs, and dynamic updates to download links.

4. Third-Party Links and Download Services

This site links to external destinations, including client websites, app stores, and open-source projects. After you follow a link, the destination may receive your IP address, browser information, and referrer information as allowed by your browser settings, and handle that data under its own policy.

Some download requests are forwarded through this site to file-hosting services. A path shown in your browser’s address bar does not mean the file is handled only by this site’s servers. Permissions, update checks, and network communications after an installer is run are determined by the relevant client and service providers.

Before opening an external link, check the destination domain and publisher. Before installing software, read its privacy notice and permission prompts. This policy does not replace third-party policies; refer to each provider’s current information if its site changes.

5. Privacy Controls and Feedback

You can stop browsing at any time, clear your browser’s site data, or change your analytics-blocking settings. Clearing local data does not automatically delete access logs already generated by the hosting service, or data stored by other websites.

For guidance on what to keep private in configurations and logs, see the relevant sections in the Clash Configuration Guide. When reporting an issue through an available feedback channel, include only the page path, steps to reproduce, and a brief error summary. Remove subscription URLs, passwords, and other personal information first.

6. Policy Updates

We update this page when our data practices, analytics methods, or service scope change, and revise the last-updated month at the top. If we add new data categories or significantly expand how data is used, we will provide more information near the relevant feature. Please check this page again for details of our current practices.
